Options every loader accepts.

Remarks

columns names top-level parquet columns; a requested column absent from every loaded season is still returned (all null) with one SDV_RELEASE warning, since that is usually a typo. A column absent from only some seasons is null-filled for those seasons.

Read only these columns (the rest are not decoded). Default: all.

"rows" (default): an array of row objects. "columns": one array per column ({ [column]: values[] }) — about 4x lighter on the heap.

maxCells?

optional maxCells?: number

Defined in: src/core/releases.ts:141

Refuse (with a catchable SdvError) to decode more than this many cells (rows × leaf columns, a running total over the seasons) — each season's parquet footer is checked before that season is decoded. Default: scaled to the V8 heap limit (see BYTES_PER_CELL; a measured heuristic — long-string-only selections cost more per cell); Infinity disables the check.
